Are you Eloping? Are you looking for an adventure, mountains and something unique…a landscape full of fiery red rocks, green trees unlike most forests, cacti and unique wildlife? Well, let me tell you that a Sedona Adventure Photography Elopement is perfect for you!!
If you know anything about my home playground of the Alberta Rockies then you know about the famous town of Banff, and I am here to tell you that Sedona, Arizona is THE Banff of Arizona!! I have been a couple times now and I truly LOVE this town and the entire surrounding area, including the amazing 1hr drive up hwy 89a to Flagstaff that follows along Oak Creek and then climbs up out of the canyon to Flagstaff, another amazing mountain town in Arizona.
But I digress, there’s an entire post about Eloping in Sedona, this post is all about the incredible Sedona Adventure Photography session I recently shot while I was in Arizona early in April, and preparing to offer Sedona as an Elopement Destination for my clients. Packages for Sedona Elopements are on the Pricing Page, under the collections section.
Kelsey & Oscar celebrated 10 years together in April, they are high school sweethearts since grade 9 and they are now engaged! I was thrilled when Kelsey got in touch after I posted about looking for couples do shoots with in Sedona, while I was in Arizona on three weeks vacation. I go to Arizona every year and I have seen lots of the sites, but Sedona won my heart, with Flagstaff a close second. Sedona is beautiful and a unique experience in Arizona, one you won’t forget and you will fall in love with.
We started Kelsey & Oscar’s Sedona Adventure Photography session in one of my favorite spots in the town of Sedona, Tlaquepaque Market square, where the rustic stone buildings, featuring artisan shoppes, eateries, and local artist entertainments, are covered in ivy and the whole place feels magical. It was the perfect spot for some intimate photos.
Then we headed out on a jeep adventure to traverse an Off-road vehicle trail, (rather than walk from the regular parking lot, because jeep adventures are seriously cool and fun!) and parked with the other off road adventurers at the start of the trailhead to Devil’s Bridge, not far outside Sedona. We hiked up the remainder of the way, and it’s moderately challenging but such a gorgeous hike to a stunning view!
If you are going to Sedona you should definitely visit this amazing natural formation in the red mountains and I highly encourage a Sedona Adventure Photography session here, but at sunrise for the perfect light and to avoid the major crowds all wanting to get their pic on nature’s bridge!
