As much as I love my mountains, I also have a love for the Badlands of Alberta, surrounding Drumheller in the central-eastern part of the province.
The Badlands of Alberta, Canada are a unique and beautiful landscape that provides a stunning backdrop for any adventure. If you’re looking for a memorable way to capture your engagement photos, consider doing an Adventure Engagement Session in the Badlands of Drumheller, Alberta.
Drumheller is known as the “Dinosaur Capital of the World,” and for good reason – the area is rich with fossils and dinosaur exhibits. But beyond the prehistoric attractions, the Badlands of Drumheller offer a truly breathtaking experience that is perfect for an adventure engagement session.
One of the best ways to experience the Badlands is by hiking through the hoodoos – towering rock formations that have been shaped by centuries of wind and water erosion. These unique geological formations provide a stunning and dramatic backdrop for your engagement photos, and the hike itself is an adventure you won’t forget.
The Hoodoo Trail, located just outside of Drumheller, is a great place to start. This 10 km hike takes you through some of the most spectacular hoodoo formations in the area, with plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos along the way. The trail is moderately difficult, with some steep inclines and rocky terrain, but the views are well worth the effort; trust me! 😉
Another great option for an Adventure Engagement Session in the Badlands is to explore the Dinosaur Provincial Park. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to some of the most important dinosaur fossils in the world, and the park offers a range of activities, including guided hikes, canoeing, and camping.
